The Misfit Lounge Artists’ Guild

In my experience, the most enjoyable and fruitful small groups I’ve ever been a part of were small teams of people with a passion about a common outward focus – music group, youth ministry, training school, etc. 

I have organized an Artists’ Guild, a group of passionate artists to work in collaboration on various artistic projects.

I want to invite you to be part of the Artists’ Guild.  As the Guild gets rolling, I’m sure other interested people will surface.  (Everyone I talk to seems to know someone who writes or sings, etc.)  Down the road, there may be the possibility of forming more than one group (maybe around genres, age, etc).

I have lots of material we could develop, and I know that those who become part of the group will likewise bring plenty of raw material.

The Artists’ Guild will meet regularly and also include video conferencing for those at a distance.

The Artists’ Guild includes writers, illustrators, visual artists, movie makers, technical people, musicians, dramatists, website designers, podcasters, etc.

The Artists’ Guild also strategizes how to publish or disseminate the material we create.  (This website is a start).  The material we create could be published in book or magazine form, posted online, used in podcasts, presented live, etc.

At some point, we could present some of the work live in a coffeehouse or theater type setting with a live band, backgrounds, sound effects, etc.

Another option is a literary or arts publication (MAD Magazine, Wittenberg Door) that includes written pieces, artwork, graphic art, interviews, Book of the Month, Movie of the Month, Album of the month, etc.
